CritChess keeps familiar movement but replaces instant captures with persistent damage. These examples isolate attacks against stationary targets. In ordinary matches, players alternate turns and the goal is to defeat the enemy king.
The daily challenge and destruction puzzles use special rules: destroy all stationary targets within the action budget. A legal alternative solution counts; you do not have to reproduce one predetermined line.
