Beta terms

These short terms govern access to the current CritChess closed beta. Last updated 28 September 2026.

Beta service

CritChess is under active development. Features, balance, virtual rewards and availability may change. Service interruptions and progress resets may occur during testing.

Fair play

Do not automate matches, exploit reward endpoints, interfere with matchmaking or impersonate other players. Accounts used for abuse may lose beta access or improperly obtained virtual currency.

Supporter membership and virtual items

War Marks and cosmetics are limited, revocable rights inside CritChess. They are not cash, cannot be transferred between players and have no monetary redemption value. Purchased War Marks provide cosmetic choice only. Supporter is a recurring subscription until cancelled through the billing portal. Checkout remains disabled until CritChess explicitly enables the payment service for release.

Billing

Stripe processes enabled checkouts and subscription management. Prices, currency, renewal period and any applicable tax are shown before confirmation. Do not close or delete an account with an active subscription; cancel it from the Supporter page first.

Original content

CritChess armies and artwork are original, mythology-inspired interpretations. You may play and share screenshots, but may not redistribute game assets as a separate product.
